Secretary of Education praised students at graduation -- and then they booed her
May 15, 2017
Lawrence Jones talked about Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos' commencement address at Bethune-Cookman University on "The Lawrence Jones Show" this weekend. He did not understand why graduates booed and turned their backs to her when she praised them for their hard work in her speech.
She also discussed the polarization of the nation over politics and called for grace toward each other.
DeVos supports school choice, which Lawrence believes is beneficial to the black community.
