Chris Pratt delivers Gospel of Luke at Disneyland’s candlelight ceremony: 'Each and every one of us is a special creation'

The famed actor isn't afraid of spreading the love of God and Jesus.

Actor Chris Pratt executed an impassioned delivery of the Gospel of Luke at Disneyland's annual Candelight processional over the weekend, and professed the love of God in his remarks.

The annual invite-only tradition dates back to the park's 1955 opening in California. The event features a processional of local choirs, a live orchestral performance of Christmas songs, a bell choir, candlelighting, and a retelling of the original Christmas story.

What did Pratt say?

In addition to reading the Gospel of Luke to the attendees, Pratt, the program's narrator, spoke between songs and quoted scripture.

During the latter part of his remarks, Pratt pointed to his own journey in fatherhood and compared it to the love of God for His children.

"Being a parent has really changed my life in so many ways, and one of those ways is to understand truly the love that a father can have for a child," Pratt said.

"When I stare at this precious little creation of mine here, and I watch the ways in which he tries to please me, I just feel a love that is so pure, and unending," Pratt explained. "The way we love our children, and the more we love our children, the more we will understand the capacity for our Father in heaven to love us."

At this point, the audience erupted with raucous applause and cheers.

"Each and every one of us a special creation, and He just marvels in the ways that we could try to please Him," Pratt continued. "That should give us all a great deal of comfort. I know it does for me."

Concluding, Pratt proffered a sentiment of love and hope.

"This holiday season, let us embrace every one of our tomorrows with hope and love," Pratt said. "And through this holiday spirit, may we continue to spread peace and goodwill throughout the world."

"Thank you," the actor finished, "and Merry Christmas!"
