‘Make Great Britain Christian Again!’ #AlfiesArmy rallies in Washington, D.C.

Demonstrators gathered outside the U.K. embassy in Northwest Washington, D.C., Thursday to pray and show their support for British toddler Alfie Evans.

The 23-month-old boy was taken off life support by the British government earlier this week against the wishes of his parents, who have lost multiple court appeals to take their gravely ill child to Italy for treatment.

Following a speech from Washington-area pastor and pro-life advocate Patrick Mahoney (pictured above), demonstrators prayed together for little Alfie’s cause.

The rally's signs included “Parents know BEST!” and “Make Great Britain Christian again.”

“Parents dare to want to take their little baby to Italy for care against the wishes of his doctors and judges?” LevinTV host Mark Levin asked incredulously on his radio program the night before. “Well, who cares what his doctors and judges think if the parents think that there’s a chance that they can save their little baby?”

“Who do you think loves that baby the most?” he continued. “Who do you think wants to care for that baby the most? Judges? The doctors? No, the parents.”
