Mark Levin slams silent media as Democrats examine Fox News editorial decisions

Wednesday on the radio, LevinTV host Mark Levin covered a huge story about freedom of the press that the mainstream media seems content to ignore.

Democrats on the House Committee on Oversight and Reform have sent a letter to former Fox News reporter Diana Falzone demanding that she turn over any documents related to Trump's alleged extramarital affairs, suggesting that Fox News may have violated campaign finance law if it attempted to help Trump by suppressing a damaging story. Levin is appalled that the same media claiming President Trump is a threat to the free press are silent as Democrats attempt to expand the government's power to review editorial decisions by a media outlet and threaten consequences if they don't like what they find.

"Now we have a committee of Congress led by a Democrat, Elijah Cummings, that's trying to dig into editorial decisions at Fox News," Levin said. "Do you see the other media outlets circling the wagons? Do you see anybody else speaking out for freedom of the press and the First Amendment?"

Listen:

"The media do not believe in freedom of the press," Levin said. "The media believe in freedom of certain people to report news."

Editor's note: This article has been updated to add that Diana Falzone is a former, not current, Fox News reporter. CR regrets the error.
