Sarah Sanders body-slams media speculation about the identity of the NYT's 'anonymous coward'

On Thursday, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders slammed the media for its "wild obsession" with speculating about the identity of the unnamed Trump official who penned a New York Times op-ed about how he is resisting President Trump's policies.

CNN and The Weekly Standard each published speculative articles guessing at the anonymous authors and listing various top-tier Trump officials and why they may be motivated to resist Trump and write the anonymous article.

Sanders issued a statement to those speculating:

She's absolutely right. Speculation about the identity of the author is not news, it's not helpful, and it's not worth reading about.
