There's a new PP video. No words describe the horror

Update: YouTube removed the video on Thursday evening, citing a violation of the company's terms of service.

CR's original article, including a description of the video, remains below.

There’s a new Planned Parenthood video out, if we have the stomach to watch it.

National Review’s Alexandra DeSanctis has the scoop on it:

This latest video is a preview of footage that CMP [Center for Medical Progress] investigators gathered at the 2014 and 2015 National Abortion Federation conventions, attended by hundreds of members of the abortion industry each year. (The NAF is a major trade group of North American abortion providers, and Planned Parenthood makes up about 50 percent of its members and leadership.)

The quotes that the preview reel highlights are truly beyond description, as words like “ghastly,” “ghoulish,” “barbaric,” and “inhuman” no longer seem to cut it as we go deeper into the murder culture with the Center for Medical Progress.

“If I’m doing a procedure, and I’m seeing that I’m in fear that it’s about to come to the umbilicus [belly button], I might ask for a second set of forceps to hold the body at the cervix and pull off a leg or two, so it’s not [partial-birth abortion].” Partial birth abortions have been banned by federal law since 2003.

“An eyeball just fell down into my lap, and that is gross!” the Consortium of Abortion Providers’ Dr. Uta Landy says to laughter from the crowd.

“I’m like — Oh my God! I get it! When the skull is broken, that’s really sharp!” says an enthusiastic Talcott Camp, deputy director of the ACLU’s Reproductive Health Freedom Project. “I get it! I understand why people are talking about getting that skull out, that calvarium.”

Each one of these videos is more gruesome than the last either in its graphic content or the admissions of the subjects on camera. This one is no exception. As this is listed as “Preview” on CMP’s YouTube channel, one only wonders what further horrors the group is waiting to release as time passes.

Two of the citizen journalists behind these videos are now facing felony charges from the state of California, alleging that they violated state privacy laws by covertly recording abortionists and abortion industry executives. This is clearly motivated by the state’s pro-abortion politics, as the same officials seem to have no problem whatsoever when animal rights groups use the same tactics to expose abuse.

“The gruesome footage from this latest video leaves no doubt as to why NAF and Planned Parenthood want to silence CMP’s investigators. Those in the abortion industry know they’re taking human life,” DeSanctis concludes. “They just don’t care.”

That any human being could make such statements as those in the video as casually, flippantly, or comically as these is mind-boggling. One wonders what the state of a human soul must be in order to look at an innocent life that one has taken and then make a joke to a room full of people about it.

We can look at the confessions of a Jeffrey Dahmer or a Dylan Roof in police custody and though their admissions disgust us, at least the prosecutorial setting in which we typically find such testimony matches the actions being described.

But this does not. This footage takes place at a professional conference in a plush-looking hotel ballroom. With bagels, drinks in the evening after the day’s business is done, crisp nametags at check-in, and the shuffling of luggage at check-out.

The juxtaposition between that background and the remarks in the video need no further explanation, only consideration.
