Top RINO Susan Collins to leave the Senate?

The most liberal Republican in the U.S. Senate may soon be on her way out the door.

Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, will announce her decision on whether she will leave the U.S. Senate to run for governor to a local Chamber of Commerce event on Friday, Politico reports.

Collins, 64, has the lowest Liberty Score© of any elected Republican in Congress – voting with conservatives on key issues just 12 percent of the time.

She was one of a handful of Republican Senators who voted against a clean repeal of Obamacare last July, and the only Republican in the Senate to vote against a clean repeal of Obamacare in 2015, when it was just a symbolic gesture.

According to Politico, Collins has been mulling this decision for months while several “moderate” members of the Senate have been urging her to say. Collins, first elected in 1996, is currently serving her fourth term in the Senate. If she remains, she will not face reelection until 2020.
