WTF MSM!? And the winner is …

So long, credibility …

Top press oppressor? … The outsized egos of the current crop of media personalities know no bounds. There are journalists around the world who are risking their lives to bring truth to light. Yet whom does the Committee to Protect Journalists name as the top global press oppressor? Yep, that’s right, President Donald Trump. The committee bestowed upon Trump the “Overall Achievement in Undermining Global Press Freedom” award. Why? Because the president does not take the constant negative biased press thrown his way lying down. He fights back. His predecessor tried prosecuting members of the press, but Trump gets the award, merely for words.

Acosta’s promotion … Being the media’s chief whiner at the White House comes with a plethora of rewards. Case in point? CNN’s Jim Acosta just got a promotion to chief White House correspondent for the network. I’m sure he’s proud.

But Russia … The entire lynchpin of the Russian “collusion” narrative is that Russian trolls put forth “fake news” to fool the rubes — er, American voters — into voting for Donald Trump. But what if the “fake news” didn’t really have an impact? The NY Times reports on a study that shows that actual fake news stories had little impact. It’s an interesting read, but not devoid of its own bias, like this passage: “But even the most eager fake-news readers — deeply conservative supporters of President Trump — consumed far more of the real kind.” There is significant proof that Russian trolls targeted both conservatives and liberals and that both lapped up the “news” in equal numbers, but a NY Times writer needs to be a NY Times writer. I’d say “unreal,” but it really isn’t.
