Alan Grayson declares cyber war on Sarah Palin

After former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin posted a message on Twitter urging Floridians to dump Rep. Alan Grayson, the, er, congressman fired back: "What is it about Palin and Twitter? Is it that 140 characters represents the maximum length of Palin's attention span?"

His "tweet" contained a link to a long rant posted on his Facebook page where he complained that Palin had "attacked" him and encouraged her "zombie horde" to support his opponent, Republican Daniel Webster.

Now you may wonder why this half-term governor, this half-baked Alaskan, would find reason to interfere in a Congressional race in Central Florida. Yesterday it was a tweet; a few months ago, she instructed her possessed minions to "take me out," like she was shooting a moose from a helicopter.

Why? Why does she care?

Because unlike Sarah Palin, I have a head and a heart. Because unlike Sarah Palin, I believe that I am my brother's keeper. And unlike Sarah Palin, I believe in the 3000-year-old imperative of every just society - to shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, and heal the sick.

That's touching, really.  I might almost believe it if it wasn't coupled with a plea for people to donate to his "Sarah Palin, Mind Your Own Business" campaign fund. "Let's show Sarah Palin that every time she opens her mouth, that's another $20, or $40, or $50 for whomever it is that she attacks," he writes.

Perhaps Alan Grayson is turning over a new leaf.  Instead of being the candidate who purposefully misrepresents facts (i.e. lies), it seems his new campaign strategy is to whine to voters that Sarah Palin doesn't like him and hope it garners some sympathy donations.  If that doesn't work, may I suggest this new campaign slogan:  Alan Grayson: Setting new standards of maturity for grown adults!
