Anthony Weiner pulled an Anthony Weiner.
On a CBS "Face the Nation" segment on Sunday, the fiery Democratic Rep. from New York known for his lapses in decorum lived up to his reputation while talking opposite Republican Reps. Michelle Bachmann (MN) and Mike Kelly (PA). Besides yelling and talking over others, Wiener even took some pot shots at his colleagues.
“Apparently my Republican friends believe the tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires – somehow the bill fairy pays for that," he said at one point, and then sarcastically told Kelly he hopes the newly-elected Rep. has "more respect for his constituents."
The disrespectful tone rubbed off on Weiner's Democratic colleague Debbie Wasserman Schultz. She too took a cheap shot at Bachmann when she said everyone needs to "go beyond rehetoric," and "Going beyond campaign slogans which is all I’ve heard today from Mr. Kelly and is all Ms. Bachmann really ever engages in.”
Mediaite cut the explosive part of the segment directly below, with the full 15 minute clip after that:
Weiner pulled a similar stunt, including the sarcasm and eye rolls, with Fox News's Megyn Kelly.
