Former MSNBC Host: Don't Buy the Hype, Comcast Fired Olbermann

After MSNBC's most popular host abruptly announced he was stepping down Friday evening, former Fox News and MSNBC host John Gibson took to his syndicated radio program Monday offer his own opinion of the circumstances surrounding Keith Olbermann's exit.

On Monday, Comcast executives insisted their corporate merger with NBC Universal had nothing to do with Olbermann's exit. The popular story making the media rounds is that Olbermann had long-strained relations with the network's management and that his exit was inevitable. But Gibson says don't believe what you read -- Comcast forced Olbermann out:
