In reporting the death of former ABC News President Elmer Lower, television insider news site TVWeek seems to have made a mistake: Instead of putting a photo of Lower in their story, they've posted one of Glenn Beck, captioned "Elmer Lower."
Lower, who was 98, was behind the network's hiring of Peter Jennings, Ted Koppel and Sam Donaldson. While he was president, the ABC evening news broadcast doubled from 15 minutes to 30 minutes, the Associated Press reported.
The mistake doesn't appear to have attracted much attention yet: Only one comment, posted at 8:56 a.m., seems to have noticed the mix up.
So why the mistake? We're not sure, but it could have something to do with the fact that a Google image search for "Elmer Lower" turns up the image of Beck:
