The Twitter Universe is buzzing this morning as one of radio's most controversial figures is joining the panel of judges on "America's Got Talent." As seen on the SternShow twitter feed:
"It's official - Howard just signed on the dotted line - he is now the newest judge on America's Got Talent!"
Telling his SiriusXM satellite radio audience that his role as a judge on America's Got Talent will be "very different from the radio show," Howard Stern announced he is joining NBC's prime time talent competition.
Longtime Stern agent Don Buchwald was in the studio with Stern to assist in the announcement and add details about the deal.
The self-proclaimed "King of All Media" claims that the judging role is "something I need to do."
Stern also declared that the judging on the show will become "more serious" with his skills being added to the team of Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne.
Beginning in February, Stern will start commuting to Los Angeles for tapings.
