The confident and somewhat arrogant Newt Gingrich we see running for president today is not the same Newt Gingrich who ran for re-election to Congress in 1992. Back then he was mousy and he looked uncomfortable approaching strangers to ask for their vote. He probably should have. Gingrich used to be "that guy" who bothers you while shopping. That guy no one likes.
