NY Times Columnist Apologizes for Mocking Mitt Romney's Faith in 'Magic Underwear' Tweet
February 24, 2012
New York Times columnist Charles Blow backpedaled over a recent Tweet which was a not-so-veiled dig at Mitt Romney's faith:
"Let me just tell you this Mitt 'Muddle Mouth': I'm a single parent and my kids are *amazing*! Stick that in your magic underwear."
Blow was referring to a Mormon tradition of wearing a temple garment under the clothing.
This morning, Blow tweeted, "Btw, the comment I made about Mormonism during Wed.'s debate was inappropriate, and I regret it. I'm willing to admit that with no caveats."
