iPhone Used to Help Rescue Toddler Stuck in a Well

The rescue of a toddler who had fallen into a narrow well in Mengzi City, China, was aided by an unexpected high-tech gadget: an iPhone.

The Telegraph reports the child in the 40-foot deep well kept slipping out of the adult-size harness as the team worked to pull him up. Enter the iPhone.

The rescuers recorded video using the phone to better position the harness and retrieve the boy.

Here's the footage:

According to reports, the boy was not seriously injured.
