A CBS/New York Times poll shows John "Supercuts" Edwards, whose trial for allegedly misusing campaign funds begins today, has a 3 percent approval rating.
The new survey shows Edwards is viewed especially unfavorably by women, just 2 percent of whom have a positive view of him, compared to 45 percent who have a negative view.
It should be explained to the 2 percent of women still approving that the person in question is John Edwards, the former Democratic presidential candidate and philanderer, not John Edward, the charming psychic medium who hosted his own television talk show in the early 2000s.
