In new 'Forward' ad, Obama campaign looks backward

President Barack Obama's reelection campaign is out with a lengthy new ad (over seven minutes) titled "Forward."

Despite the title, here's what the ad actually looks at:

-- the state of the economy before Obama's presidency;

--the legislation passed since the start of his term;

--past criticisms Republicans and conservative media personalities have made against him;

--past accomplishments in the War on Terror;

And almost everything is written in past tense: "protected," "passed," "saved," "appointed," "invested," "ended," "liberated," etc.
