Justice Sotomayor moves into D.C. neighborhood known for chili and smelling like pee

U Street in Washington, D.C., actually isn't that bad. But it is home to the famous Ben's Chili Bowl restaurant and there is often a trace of urine in the air. This is now the place Justice Sonia Sotomayor calls home.

Via Washington Business Journal:

The justice paid $660,000 June 19 for a two-bedroom condominium in the neighborhood, according to D.C. property tax records. Sotomayor paid about $136,000 more than the unit’s current property tax assessment, but the condo does qualify for a $67,500 homestead credit.
