New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's health department is drafting up a survey for residents that contains some heavy questioning on alcohol consumption.
“Issues to be explored include behavior patterns around unhealthy alcohol consumption and awareness of existing alcohol-related laws and standards,’’ the department told bidders hoping to conduct the poll.
As the New York Post reports, however, Bloomberg's administration says not to worry, this isn't big soda-ban redux. "The Health Department insisted the new polling research is aimed at improving its public-education campaign," writes the Post, which endearingly refers to Bloomberg as "Nanny Mike."
