Did Apple's Own Website Spoil News About Its iPhone 5 Launch?

Apple is set to unveil new products -- the most rumored of which is an iPhone 5 -- at its event beginning at 1 p.m. (EST) Wednesday in San Francisco, Calif. But a report from 9to5mac is showing that the company's own website may have revealed the products and their names just hours before they're formally announced.

Since the recently the released "new iPad" was named simply that -- "The New iPad" -- it was thought a new iPhone would follow the same naming convention, being called "The New iPhone" instead of iPhone 5. But 9to5mac reported Wednesday morning that a search for "iPhone-5" on Apple's website yields a few URLs appearing to introduce a product as the iPhone 5. Clicking on that link shows the page cannot be found -- yet.

9to5mac also points out that searching the site also reveals URLs alluding to a new iPod touch and nano.

In only a few more hours, we'll know for sure on all counts what the company will officially introduce today.
