This Is Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor Stopping By Sesame Street to Talk About Careers

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor probably isn't endearing herself to any fairy godmothers or singing mice.

She stopped by "Sesame Street" and no doubt dashed the hopes of wannabe royals everywhere when she told Abby Cadabby that being a princess is not a career.

"A career is a job you train for, or prepare for and plan on doing for a long time," Sotomayor said.

So what kinds of careers are there for girls (or muppets) like Abby?

"You can go to school and train to be a teacher, a lawyer, a doctor, an engineer and even a scientist," Sotomayor said. "I am a United States Supreme Court justice. I went to school and studied law and then became a judge."

That sounded pretty good to Abby, who decided she wants to be a judge too.

Maybe don't ask her to decide between originalism and the living Constitution theory just yet.
