Flashback: Obama insists gov't can raise over $1 trillion in revenue -- without tax increases

Not that this will make a difference to the lamestream media who are working overtime to carry Obama's water, but the president's own words contradict his staunch new demands for tax increases.  On July 22, 2011 the president offered a plan to raise the debt ceiling by closing loopholes and not raising taxes:
