Roger Ailes expects Fox News to 'articulate' the GOP's appeal to Hispanics

The Republican Party is remaking itself as to become more inviting to Hispanic voters. And Fox News is doing the same. In an interview with The New Republic, Fox News CEO Roger Ailes said going forward, his channel is adopting strategy to appeal to Hispanic viewers:

“The fact is, we have a lot—Republicans have a lot more opportunity for them,” Ailes says. “If I’m going to risk my life to run over the fence to get into America, I want to win. I think Fox News will articulate that.” ...

“I happen to think that the Latino audience is an essentially traditional audience and will go to Fox News for traditional American values,” Ailes says.

In the interview, Ailes also said the GOP hasn't "used the right language" in discussing immigration. "We should all defend sovereignty, then take a Judeo-Christian approach to immigration," he said. "I don’t have any problem with a path to citizenship.”
