You'll Never Believe the Simple Question That Stumped This Famed Author During Fox Interview

News show banter is usually meant to be light-hearted and fun. It's not supposed to stump your guest -- especially about something as basic as her own pets' names.

U.K. author Jackie Collins went on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" to discuss her latest book. When the segment started, co-host Steve Doocy said they had just been discussing dogs.

"You have them at your house," Doocy said.

"I do, I have Labradors," Collins replied.

She answered several other questions fine -- she has two dogs, they're both male, they get along -- but it was co-host Gretchen Carlson's question that made her draw a blank.

"What are their names?" Carlson asked.

"Um, what are their names?" Collins repeated. "I don't know, because I call them 'dogs.' 'Dog One and Dog Two.'"

There was an awkward moment before the conversation turned to Collins' newest book. When the segment wrapped up a few minutes later, Doocy implored Collins to "Give our best to your two dogs."

"I will, yeah -- whose names I don't know," Collins quipped.
