Try to stay awake.
It happened. The 150-feet* wide DA14 asteroid that had been hyped for some time finally passed by earth at 2:24pm ET only 17,000 miles away -- which was the closest it was going to come to our plant. And finally, after all the hype, it ended up being extremely boring. How boring? Watch -- if you dare -- and try to stay awake:
*We've updated the story to note the asteroid was not 150-miles wide. Maybe it would have been more exciting if it was.
