Two Louisiana teens were disciplined over a mocking "Jesus Loves You" sign meant to show support for their high school basketball team.

WAFB-TV reported the Patterson High School students posed with a handmade poster that read, "Jesus Hearts You!...Unless You Attend Parkview Baptist" during a game last Friday. One of the students was also wearing a T-shirt that said "I hate Parkview."

According to WAFB, a photo of the Patterson students made the rounds on the Internet and Kevin Thibodeaux, assistant superintendent of St. Mary Parish Schools, said they "have been disciplined" for their conduct.

Parkview Baptist coach Don Green said neither he nor his players noticed the sign during the game, and didn't think the students meant any harm.

"I don't believe there was any intent or ill will, just going maybe just a step too far in trying to support the team," Green said.

The sign didn't seem to give Patterson any juju: Parkview beat them 59-42.
