From an editorial in Wednesday's issue of the fairly conservative New York Post on President Obama's recent cabinet appointments:
We’ve always believed that presidents should choose their Cabinets on the basis of their merits. But our commander in chief leads a base perpetually fretting over racial and gender diversity. By that yardstick — notwithstanding the historic achievement of the man at the top — Obama’s record here, ahem, “pales” in comparison to George W. Bush’s.
