CSN Chicago sports reporter Susannah Collins during a live broadcast of Tuesday’s playoff game between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Minnesota Wild had hockey fans momentarily wondering what, exactly, goes on once NHL players exit the rink.
“The second season starts tonight and this Blackhawks team is ready,” Collins said. “All season long they’ve been saying that this is the season that matters. And despite the fact that they’ve had such a tremendous amount of sex during the regular --”
Wait. Hold up. What was that? What have the Chicago Blackhawks been doing?
The visibly embarrassed reporter quickly backtracked and corrected herself: “…of success during the regular season.”
Ah. Okay, for a second there we were wondering:
"I meant to say success. My apologies, got a little tongue tied,” Collins later tweeted, adding that she’d also try to avoid saying Cal Clutterbuck’s last name (he’s one of Minnesota’s star players):
Chicago went on to beat Minnesota 2-1 in overtime and Collins went on to gain more than 200 followers on Twitter since Deadspin first uploaded her slip-up to the intertubes.
