Celebrate Independence Day by Watching 200 Sparklers Being Lit at One Time

"...an amazing fountain of sparks and smoke well beyond what comes out of a simple smoke bomb or sparkler."

As darkness begins to descend across America over the next few hours, many will begin lighting fizzy sounding sparklers and drawing designs into the night. Some might even be adventurous and light one in each hand.

The hosts of the YouTube channel Household Hacker took it a few -- actually more like hundreds -- of steps further than that.

Household Hacker is showing just what 200 sparklers being lit at one time looks like.

Now, it's not exactly what you might picture. The sparklers are stripped down a bit and bunched into three metal tubes to "have a more controlled and safe display."

This is what it looked like before the sparklers were lit:

And here's the final product:

"We were pretty happy with this display. The final result was an amazing fountain of sparks and smoke well beyond what comes out of a simple smoke bomb or sparkler," the host said.

Watch the clip in all its sparkling glory:

As TheBlaze pointed out in a post earlier this week about firework safety, even sparklers need to be handled with caution during holiday celebrations. But it goes without saying that this experiment specifically should not be tried at home.
