Unbelievable Video: Did This Photojournalist Capture Footage of His Own Death?

"I tell him it's very dangerous...and every time he said, 'If I die about the truth I welcome death.'"

A photojournalist covering unrest in Cairo, Egypt, may have documented the moment of his own death on video, CNN reports.

Ahmed Assem El-Senousy was taking photos of bloody clashes in Cairo streets last Monday, CNN reports, when he began capturing video footage of a what appears to be a soldier shooting from a nearby rooftop:

Suddenly the rifle is turned to the left...

...then seems to point directly at El-Senousy:

A split second later the video image collapses in what looks like a live camera fumbling and dropping.

An autopsy confirmed that a bullet went through El-Senousy's face, CNN reported.

His tearful mother said, "I tell him it's very dangerous...and every time he said, 'If I die about the truth I welcome death.'"
