Watch: Man Makes Girlfriend Cry With Seriously Cruel Marriage Proposal

A woman in Canada sat in the back of a police car thinking she was going to have to spend 30 days in jail for unpaid fines. Little did she know, her soon-to-be fiancé had orchestrated the entire thing as an elaborate marriage proposal.

Ben Vienneau staged the fake arrest, partly to ask the woman he loves to marry him and partly to win $20,000 in a contest for the wildest wedding proposals. His girlfriend, Marcia Belyea, had joked about wanting to win.

Using his police officer brother-in-law to pull over his girlfriend and pretend she was going to do jail time over unpaid fines, Vienneau executed his plan to perfection.

Just as a tears began rolling down Belyea's face, Vienneau popped the question.

"It's highly unorthodox…we've agreed to waive the fine, let you go, if you take his hand in marriage," the officer says in the video.

Still crying, the woman could not believe what just happened.

Even after the cruel marriage proposal, she still said yes. Now that's love.
