If You've Ever Doubted the Power of Photoshop, These Are the Only Pictures You'll Need to See
August 08, 2013
"Anything is possible if you work at it.”
Can Photoshop correct the flaws on even "The Most Atrociously Ugly Person in Human History?" That's what a Japanese site cheekily tried to answer recently.
The comedy site Omocoro found an unassuming man to don a wig and dress, setting himself up to be transformed into a good looking woman through photo editing -- if possible.

Here were the tongue-in-cheek rules of the game (as translated by Rocket News 24):
- We give a professional Photoshop artist original photos of Mankind’s All-Time Foulest Beast.
- The artist may use the full potential of his technology to improve a photo.
- The artist wins if he creates an amazing beauty with one of the photos! The beast wins if it cannot be done.

Omocoro called the final result, after much work by the craftsman using Photoshop, a "complete defeat."

Here's how Rocket News explained it:
Dejectedly the artist broke down, “I’m sorry. It’s a total loss. My job is to modify people but still keep their humanity. I tried so hard to find and exaggerate his beautiful features, but there were none. I mean, I might as well have just drawn a CGI woman over top of his ugly mug…”

Although that craftsman might have struck out, others are trying their hand at making the "beast" beautiful as well. Rocket News 24 reported this artist saying "anything is possible if you work at it.”
