Obama Screws Up Name During Speech and Is Called Out by Shouting Crowd
August 22, 2013
President Barack Obama earned himself a correction from the crowd Thursday after he mixed up the names of Buffalo's mayor and congressman during a speech at the State University of New York.
Obama referred to Buffalo's mayor as Brian Higgins. Higgins is the congressman; Byron Brown is the mayor.
"This is what happens when you get to be 52 years old," Obama said.
The Washington Free Beacon has video of the gaffe:
Editor's note: This post initially misspelled Byron Brown as Bryon Brown.
