In an interview with Russia's Channel One news station, the country's President Vladimir Putin expressed a sense of confusion about Edward Snowden's life choices.
"You know, I sometimes thought about him, he is a strange guy," Putin said. "How is he going to build his life? In effect, he condemned himself to a rather difficult life. I do not have the faintest idea about what he will do next."
Snowden, the American fugitive who claimed asylum in Russia after leaking classified government documents to the news media, hasn't been spotted since leaving a Russian airport in August. His lawyer said in the interview with Channel One, however, that he "likes to travel" around the country.
