Colorado Gov's Flood-Tour Helicopter Flight Diverted for Rescues; He Updates Pickups on Twitter

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper tweeted Saturday that his surveillance flight of flooded areas of the state was diverted for rescue operations:

According to CNN, the National Weather Service issued severe thunderstorm warnings and said 1.73 inches of rain fell in less than 30 minutes at one spot in southeastern Denver. The weather service expected thunderstorms across the region Saturday evening and more rain at least through Sunday.
