Gay People Don't Shoot Kids': Mom Says It's Impossible Her Son Was Involved in Shooting Because He's Gay

"Certain men don't shoot kids."

A mother boldly defended her son from accusations of being involved in an August shooting in a seemingly bizarre manner — by citing his gay sexual identity.

"My son is innocent," the unidentified mother said in defense of her son, according to Gawker.

"He's Gay. Gay people don't shoot kids," she added. "Certain men don't shoot kids."

It was not immediately clear when the comments were made.

Jevaun D. Brown, 24, and Taleek T. Sistrunk, 21, also of Wilkes-Barre, were arrested along with Trevor Whitaker, 26, of Brooklyn, on August 24th while fleeing the scene of a shooting at an apartment complex in Pennsylvania.

Authorities concluded there was sufficient evidence to tie the trio to the shooting, according to Gawker.

The shooting left two girls, ages 2 and 5, being rushed to the hopsital after authorities reportedly "found the children bloodied and requiring urgent medical attention."
