Man Stabbed to Death Near Dodgers-Giants Baseball Game

A man was stabbed to death during a fight between rival fans after a Los Angeles Dodgers-San Francisco Giants baseball game in San Francisco late Wednesday night, according to media reports.

The stabbing was reported shortly after 11:30 p.m. four blocks from the ballpark, KNTV reported. The victim's father and brother were both wearing Dodger blue, but the victim himself was not wearing baseball regalia, according to the station.

Three people were detained, according to the Associated Press. Police have not released any further details.

The Dodgers and Giants have a famously competitive rivalry that has spawned violence between the two groups of fans before: On opening day in 2011, Giants fan Bryan Stow was beaten into a coma outside Dodger Stadium.
