Ted Cruz Targeted by Yet Another Perturbed Democrat -- but Does This U.S. Rep's Poetry Slam Have the Muscle?
September 29, 2013
"I will not insure them, Ted Cruz I am"
If you don't recall the political work of U.S. Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.), here are a few highlights:
He joined in criticism of the pasta company Barilla's chairman, who said he'd never feature same-sex families in ads:
In addition:
- He called for an amendment to introduce "atheist chaplains" in the U.S. military;
- He cosponsored a bill calling for a national "Darwin Day" to celebrate evolution;
- He called illegal aliens "de facto citizens";
- He pushed through his request to fly a U.S. flag made out of hemp over the U.S. Capitol last July 4.
Oh, and he tweeted a photo of himself rolling around on the ground like a happy dog:
So anyway, Polis turned in his latest political effort this weekend, a poem criticizing Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) over his push to defund Obamacare. Specifically Polis takes aim at Cruz' 21-hour filibuster during which he read Dr. Seuss’ “Green Eggs and Ham"...and fires away with a poem of his own.
What do you think of Polis' "What a Sham"?
