(Update) Was Ted Cruz not invited on any of the Sunday news programs?

Playbook has a roundup of who's set to appear on this Sunday's big news shows:

--"Fox News Sunday": exclusive with Sen. Marco Rubio ... Sens. Durbin and Blunt ... Power Player: Michael Needham, CEO of Heritage Action ... Panel: Brit Hume, Julie Pace, George Will, Charles Lane

--CNN's "State of the Union": To be announced

--ABC's "This Week": Martha Raddatz anchors; Leader Pelosi, and Jon Karl interviews Jeb Bush

--CBS's "Face the Nation": Leader McConnell, and Sens. Warner and Graham, together

--NBC's "Meet the Press": exclusive with Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, and Sens. Schumer and Coburn

Where's Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.)? With the end of the government shutdown this week, the networks should be interested in the one guy perhaps most responsible for it. Was he not invited as a guest by anyone?

We've requested comment from Cruz's office.

Update: A spokesperson got back to us several hours after this post published. We're told Cruz was invited as a guest "on several" of the shows listed above. He said taped interviews will air with ABC's "This Week" and CNN's "State of the Union."
