Here's What Happened to a Man Who Sold Someone Else's Home on Craigslist
October 30, 2013
An Arizona man allegedly sold a lease to a stranger's home without the owner's permission on popular classified ads website Craigslist, police say.
John David Seiberling, 35, was arrested by Mohave County Sheriffs deputies Sunday and charged with felonies relating to fraud and theft, according to the Daily Miner.

A couple reportedly provided Seiberling with a $3,000 check as a down payment, but learned they had been scammed when the keys they were provided did not work.
The couple then reportedly contacted the owner listed on the lease agreement, a man who said the home was not for sell.
Seiberling was reportedly then arrested while loading a U-Haul at the home and remains in custody.
