Year in Review: MSNBC's Best (Worst?) Moments From 2013

Obama is the "perfect American."

Between “plunging” ratings and the firing of hosts Martin Bashir and Alec Baldwin, it doesn’t seem like 2013 was a very good year for MSNBC.

But it sure was memorable.

Indeed, from host Chris Matthews declaring President Barack Obama the “perfect American” to host Karen Finney talking about “crazy crackers” on the right, MSNBC appeared to be perfectly comfortable with being known as the place for progressive cheerleading and not the place for actual news.
