Baseball Fans Will Cringe Watching These Three "Jeopardy!" Contestants Whiff At This Softball
January 19, 2014
"Mark McGwire? Really?!"
A moment from Thursday's episode of "Jeopardy!" is gaining attention — and it's easy to see why.
The three contestants were presented with this question: "354 wins did not overcome the controversy as this ex-Red Sox pitcher didn't make the Hall of Fame cut in 2013."
For most baseball fans, Roger Clemens' name would immediately come to mind. That didn't happen here.
Instead, the names "Pete Rose," "Curt Schilling" and "Mark McGwire" were produced by the contestants, to the confusion of many.
"Mark McGwire? Really?!" wrote one individual on YouTube.
"Pete Rose?" questioned another.
