Why is Jill Biden wearing a cast?

If you watched Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, at any point during the State of the Union address Tuesday night, you may have noticed she was wearing a camouflage cast on her left arm.

She fell and broke her wrist, according to the Associated Press, which contacted the V.P.'s office.

The accident happened last week. The recovery period is expected to be six weeks.
