Why Susana Martinez isn't attending CPAC

Earlier TheBlaze Blog posted about New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinezsitting out the Conservative Political Action Conference in March, though it had previously been said by CPAC organizers that she would be speaking at the event.

Danny Diaz, an adviser to Martinez, got back to us on why the Republican Party's rising Latina star won't be attending. She said by email: "Unfortunately, the Governor was never able to attend due to the fact the event takes place toward the end of the legislative signing period when she is making final decisions on bills.”

CPAC takes place Mar. 6-8 in National Harbor, Md.
