(Update) Van Susteren: I might have left Fox News but I got a better time slot and raise

Update: Van Susteren responded to this post at her Gretawire blog. "The 7 p.m. is better ONLY because it is an adventure and is new to me," she wrote. "I had been at 10 p.m. for 11 1/2 years and the 10 p.m. lost its feeling of adventure."

Right before the 2013 reprogramming of Fox News's primetime -- the first substantial change to the lineup in about a decade -- there were rumors Greta Van Susteren might leave the network altogether. She denied them.

Indeed, Van Susteren stuck with Fox, her weekly show moving from 10 p.m. to 7 p.m, where it remains No. 1 against its competitors at CNN and MSNBC.

Van Susteren tells New York Post columnist Cindy Adams now, though, that she might have left after all.

"Not sure I’d have signed another 10 p.m. deal," Van Susteren is quoted as saying. "We stayed No. 1 but 7 p.m.’s a whole new audience that’s interested in a political schedule. At 10 at night they’re ready for bed."

Van Susteren also added that she "got a big raise" when she signed again with Fox.
