Secretary of State John Kerry appeared perplexed Tuesday when a reporter asked him about Russian President Vladimir Putin's denial that he has troops in the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea.

Kerry then nodded his head several times, appearing stunned to learn of Putin's denial, which happened hours before Kerry took the podium.
