Here's Why You Don't Bring a BB Gun to a Shotgun Fight

A 23-year-old Georgia man suffered gunshot wounds after he employed a BB gun during an attempt to collect a debt.

Only problem? Someone inside the house he was at wielded an actual gun: a shotgun.

According to WXIA, witnesses told Cherokee County Sheriff's investigators that Ryan Jones was shot around 4:30 p.m. Saturday when he arrived at the home with his BB gun and demanded payment of his debt.

Brian Turner, 43, a guest in the home, then shot Jones.

The 23-year-old was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, WXIA reported. Jones is now being held on a $1,000 bond.

Authorities, working to determine if Turner was under the influence at the time of the shooting, obtained a warrant for bodily fluids. The 43-year-old refused to comply and was arrested for obstruction, according to WXIA. He has not yet been charged in the shooting.
