ORWIGSBURG, Pa. (AP) — State police are investigating the death of a 92-year-old man after a fight at a nursing home in eastern Pennsylvania.
Investigators said Fred Govern was involved in a fight with another male resident Monday at the Pinebrook Personal Care and Retirement Center near Orwigsburg in Schuylkill County.
State police said he was taken to the hospital for minor head and facial injuries but went into cardiac arrest and died.
His son, Fred Govern Jr., tells WPVI-TV that the fight started after another resident cut the line for dinner.
An autopsy has been conducted but the findings were not immediately released.
State police continue to investigate.
