New App Promises to Help Moviegoers in a Big Way

A new smartphone application promises to help moviegoers in a big way — alerting them to the best time to make a bathroom run during the feature film.

RunPee, available for both iPhone and Android, notifies users to a scene in a film where it's likely nothing significant will happen in the plot.

"The RunPee app is constantly updated, the day movies are released, to tell you the best time to run and pee during your favorite movies without missing the best scenes," the app boasts in the Apple App store. "And of course we provide a synopsis with each Peetime so you know exactly what you missed."

The app says it works through a timer that will vibrate when the best time to use the restroom is.

"Now you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the movie without worrying if you'll need to pee," it promises.

At the time of publication, the 99-cent app enjoyed a 4.5 star rating and several positive reviews.
